Foodku #28

This morning I was whirled away to a tiny piece of France.  La Gourmandine Bakery  is located on Butler street in Lawrenceville, a hipster den in Pittsburgh.  It has been almost two years since my summer abroad, and waves of nostalgia hit hard.  The baguettes rustiques, tiny sugar-topped chouquettes, hazelnut cream filled Paris-Brests, and classic mile high croissants.  But what took the gâteau (that means cake in French) were the “Sweet Jesus Twists” (I named them that).  This one goes out to you, mes sauveurs.  Bon app, y’all.
